Saint John Harris is a character from the first season of Canadian Boys.
Saint John is a 13-year-old boy of White English Canadian heritage. He has brown hair and light blue eyes. He wears a bright azure shirt, navy blue jeans fastened in place with a belt, and a pair of periwinkle blue-and-black shoes with holes in the top revealing some of the skin on his feet.
Saint John is quiet, never making a sound or saying a word. He uses alternative methods of communication to express himself without the use of words, such as miming and 'writing' in the air. Saint John is bookish, loving a good read, but his speech impediment means that he cannot read out loud, instead just staring at the pages. Nevertheless, his lack of speech is compensated with a vivid intellect and imagination, and he can dream up all kinds of fantastic adventures just by taking an everyday item, like a spoon or cup.
Due to being unable to speak, Saint John cannot stand people talking to him for too long, and he will often retreat to his 'safe spot' when he gets too irritated so he can enjoy some peace. However, he still manages to charm everybody with his sweet looks, making him almost universally adored.
- His name was spelled as 'St. John' (with the abbreviation) until quite recently; however, to match the official name of the city in New Brunswick which he is named after, it is now canonically spelled as 'Saint John' (unabbreviated). This was most likely to avoid confusion with St. John's (both the character and city).
