Judique Glencoe-Mills is a character in the fifth season of Canadian Boys. Originally a movie-exclusive character appearing in Once Upon a Time in Canada alongside his bandmates Campbell and Lime Hill, he was later adopted as a permanent cast member for the main series.

Biology

Judique is a 25-year-old man of White Scottish Canadian/Irish Canadian/Acadian heritage, reflecting his Cape Breton Island upbringing - the effect of which can be heard in his very strong 'Caper' brogue when he speaks. He has brown hair and chartreuse eyes. He wears a light yellow collared shirt with a yellow tartan kilt fastened with a belt and white cotton socks in black gillie shoes, reflecting the Scottish portion of his ancestry. Naturally, hailing from the 'fiddling capital' of Cape Breton, he alongside his bandmates devotes himself to the musical art of playing the fiddle.

Judique suffers from a gastrointestinal condition which causes him to break wind excessively, often at awkward moments, such as when he is rehearsing with his bandmates or playing at a concert. Sometimes he accidentally wakes up his bandmates in the morning by farting on them - sometimes in their faces, causing much disgust and annoyance.

Personality

Judique is a little of a 'happy chappy'. No matter what's happening, he always seems to be smiling, although of course sometimes he is sad or angry. Owing to his habit of frequently breaking wind, he is easily embarrassed and can be overly apologetic, always asking that people excuse him when he farts. "Sorry" seems to be a favourite word of his, since he's constantly having to apologize for farting in front of others.

Once Upon a Time in Canada

Judique, along with Campbell and Lime Hill, first debuted in the second Canadian Boys movie, Once Upon a Time in Canada (though at the time of that movie's release, they were not named). At the Denoon family's housewarming party, Judique breaks wind at the table after eating lobster, arousing disgust in Campbell and Lime Hill (and everybody else). This allows Culloden a sneaky opportunity to steal Judique's fiddle and ruin the friendly buzz of the atmosphere with his terrible playing. Judique, rightly so, gets angry with Culloden and snatches his fiddle back at Campbell's command, allowing the trio to provide some delightful, melodic fiddling tunes to accompany the dinner.

Trivia

  • Judique is of Scottish, Irish and Acadian descent, reflecting the ethnic fabric of Cape Breton Island (where he and his bandmates hail from) and explaining his strong 'Caper' twang when he speaks. This makes him the first Canadian Boys character to be all three of these simultaneously.
